In fact so much so, that the world's press picked up on the event in no time at all ...
attracting media attention from India to Australia and South America.

BBC TV, GMTV, Sundy Tmes, national and local radio and the press featured the "Nottingham Riviera" in news items, film promotions and even weather bulletins.

Creating an urban beach is truly a mind boggling proposition and not many leisure companies are willing or even capable of taking up the challenge...But Edward Mellors certainly took the challenge and as expected the "Nottingham Riviera" was far above anyone's expectations.

The vision and initial concept of creating a beach for the City of Nottingham was originally an idea by Edward Mellors, one of Nottinghams most famous entrepreneurs. Edward had always believed it was a concept that "The Mellors Group" could bring to the city and his promise to deliver all projects has resulted in some of the most spectacular entertainment and leisure concepts known in the country.
